Academics of Paraclete High School

Colleges and Universities

College Nights:

1. Paraclete College Night is scheduled for Wednesday, September 26 from 7 to 8:30 pm in the gym. This is for parents!

2. AV High School District College Night is Wednesday October 3 at Highland High School  from 5 to 7:15 pm. Over 40 college reps will be on hand along with information workshops.

Transcripts: “Official” transcripts (sealed) must be requested from Mrs. Vallejos. Know who she is. Write your name on the top of the purple sheet and have your parents (if you are under 18) sign. THAT’S IT. TURN IT IN TO MRS. VALLEJOS. Do not send transcripts until they are requested. The first 3 are free. Additional copies are $4.

You will receive 1 unofficial copy; you will be charged 25 cents for each copy thereafter.

 College Visits

You get 2 College Visit days away from school. Use ‘em or lose ‘em. Get the green form from the C&C  office and have your teachers sign it at least a week in advance. Turn that in to the attendance office (Mrs. Thompson)

College Representatives

When college reps are announced, you must sign up with the Counselors before the day the counselor arrives.

Scholarships

Step 1: get an account with Fastweb at www.fastweb.com and start researching scholarships online. They keep track of over 600,000 scholarships for you. Local scholarships will trickle in as the year progresses and you will be informed of them as they arrive.
