The college and career center offers students information regarding how to choose a college, information on college entrance requirements, SAT and ACT registration, and applications for all University of California and California State University schools. Individual appointments can be made with the counselors during the business day at 943-3255 x113.

If you are a Division I or II candidate, make sure you are taking the right courses and are certified by the NCAA Clearinghouse. Get started by registering ($50) at www.ncaaclearinghouse.net, then downloading the proper transcript release forms (2) for us to sign.

Division I REQUIREMENTS: If you plan to enter college , you will need to present 16 core courses:

Four years of English.
Three years of Math (Algebra I or higher).
Two years of Natural/physical science (one must be a lab science).
One year of additional English, math or science
Two years of Social Studies
Four years of additional core courses (from any area listed above, or from foreign language, nondoctrinal religion or philosophy)

Step 1: get an account with Fastweb at www.fastweb.com and start researching scholarships online. They keep track of over 600,000 scholarships for you. Local scholarships will trickle in as the year progresses and you will be informed of them as they arrive
