- Paraclete High School is a member of the
California Interscholastic Federation competing in the appropriate division for all
sports. Wearing the school's colors of scarlet and gold, the Spirits compete in the Alpha
League against LA Baptist, Village Christian, Marshall Fundamental, Kilpatrick, and Scott.
Students at Paraclete compete interscholastically in the following sports: Girl's and
Boy's Cross-Country, Girl's and Boy's Volleyball, Girl's and Boy's Basketball, Girl's and
Boy's Soccer, Girl's and Boy's Track, Football, Golf (coed), Softball and Baseball. In the
school's short history, it has won several CIF titles in team and individual sports.

The material in this packet will hopefully provide a
guide to the student-athlete who is interested in playing sports at the
college level. Parents and student-athletes should also familiarize
themselves with the NCAA Web site and recruiting guidelines as they pertain
to their sport. These can be found at
www.ncaa.org.

Disclaimer: Parents & student-athletes should
realistically evaluate the ability to compete at the college level. An
initial letter of interest from a School does not necessarily mean that the
student-athlete will be actively recruited by that school. With the
exception of Men’s Basketball, Division I and Division II schools may not
actively recruit a student-athlete until September 1st of their
Junior year. |

The Paraclete Athletic Boosters meet
on the second Wednesday of each month. All parents are invited to
attend. Help us support our teams!
The purpose of the Booster Club is to support all
athletic activities at Paraclete High School, to provide a channel of
communication between booster members and school athletic officials on
matters pertaining to the athletic program, and involve parents in the
fun of high school athletics. "To support" is not restricted to
financial efforts, either. A parent can derive personal satisfaction
from supporting teams when they take the time to participate at the
sports event, or when they become involved in transportation, physical
labor, crowd control, announcing, and becoming a spectator. Membership
is automatic for all parents.

Dear Friends of Paraclete High School,
It is time for a new edition of the
Paraclete Gazette and we would like to give you the opportunity to be one of
the first to show your support for Paraclete High School sports by
purchasing an ad in this year’s Gazette. We will be publishing a minimum of
6 editions during the Fall season. We will also publish one edition in the
Winter and one in the Spring. Each edition will be at least 200 issues. Your
ad will run in each edition so that guarantees your ad will appear in at
least 1600 issues. Don’t forget that your donation is tax deductible.
