BOOKSTORE
Please remember that
the bookstore is open before and after school every day except
Friday when it is only open after school.
Soon we will be
thinking about book return. It seems early, but I would like to give you the
following important information: you do not have to return your students
books. You may keep them, they are yours. Please tell your student what
books you want to return or to keep. After 800 students return their books,
it is very hard to find the one book you did not want him or her to return,
and it may just not be possible. You may sell them to other students. It is
your choice. Just decide and discuss with your student what you want to do
before book return. Remind your student during final exams when we collect
books. They should have their books at school if you are returning them for
credit. Please remember if you bought your books on-line you may not return
them to the book store for credit. If your book was purchased with a CD it
should be return with a CD or it will be marked down.
To find what books we
are not using for next year, you may call extension 108 or 126.
If anyone would like to
volunteer to work the Booksale this year please leave a message on extension
126. Please tell us if you work last year, if you did and what you did. This
year Booksale will be July 25 and 26.

FINANCIAL NEWS
When you send in your tuition please send in the
blue coupon that was sent to you in the summer. They should be filled in
with the students name and ID number. Many of you have different last names
then your students and without the coupon it can be difficult to match
accounts or we have many students with the same last name, with the
completed coupon we can match student with parent.
PARENT SERVICE HOURS
Numerous opportunities exist for completing service
hours, two of which include working in the kitchen or at Bingo (remember 8
hours of bingo is mandatory).
Help is always needed in the school kitchen please
contact Janet at 943-3255 x119. If you sign up to work in the kitchen it is
imperative that you show up, but if you must cancel, please give 48 hours
advance notice to enable Janet time to find a replacement. We serve lunch
to over 775 students and count tremendously on volunteers to help expedite
the process.
BINGO WILL BE HELD ON MONDAYS at the Knights of
Columbus Hall, 719 west Ave M, east of 10th St West. Beginning
Jan. 8, 2007, you can fulfill your parent service hours for Bingo at the Kof
C instead of the Paraclete Gym. If you are interested in doing Bingo please call Mark & Phyllis Wittig (before 9:00 p.m.) at 943-3680 to schedule hours. If you sign up to
work Bingo, please show up! It is very important that we have enough
workers. Bingo helps keep our tuition down. Mark and Phyllis will need at
least 48 hours notice to find a replacement if you are not able to work your
shift.
Please remember to turn in your service hours on the
yellow coupons. The coupon must be signed by the chairperson of the event or
activity and turned in to the Financial Office within 30 days of the time of
service. Please make sure you complete your coupon by filling in your
students name & ID and the type if service you completed.
