| The purpose of the discussion group, or weblog (blog) is to give the students the opportunity to express their ideas about curricular topics. It is intended to be an extension of the classroom. Use of the discussion group is a privilege. Students will conduct themselves in a manner that is respectful of others.
Stick to the topic
No references toward individuals, including the instructor
No foul language or derogatory comments
Everyone is welcome to voice his/her opinion on the blog. However, please keep the following in mind.
1) The instructor has the ability to edit or delete comments, author name or URL. So, once you send a comment, it becomes the property of this blog.
2) If you use profanity or call anyone names, your comment will be deleted and you will face disciplinary action. Similarly, if you're being anything short of 100% respectful, your comment will be deleted and you will face disciplinary action.
3) Don't stray from the topic of the blog. Off topic comments will be deleted.
4) Be succinct. Long comments may be edited or deleted.
Once a student is deleted from use of the blog, he/she will receive 0 credit for any future discussions the class may be assigned on the blog. The student will also face disciplinary action in accordance with the school’s Acceptable Use Policy.
